The chlorhexidine helps to reduce the formation of bacterial plaque on the teeth, helping Stomaferin Ultra react directionally to the cause of theproblem. 

Chlorhexidine offers a prolonged antibacterial effect (from 8 to even 12hours*)1, including:
 • inhibiting the colonization and growth of bacteria on the tooth surface1 
• reducing the deposition of plaque by up to 60%1 
• decreasing the amount of bacteria in saliva by up to 95% 

Lactoferrin content reduces the negative effects of bacterial plaqueformation, leading to inflammation**. 
Hence Stomaferin Ultra also reactdirectionally to the problem itself. Lactoferrin has an immunomodulatoryeffect, helping to prevent from gingival hypertrophy
